China Relaxing the Visa Application for Foreigners
With the spread of Covid-19 vaccine, the pandemic is gradually under controlled. Until March 19th, 2021, Chinese embassies in several countries, such as the United Kingdom and the United States, have announced that they will facilitate the visa applications for the applicants who have been vaccinated the Chinese-made Covid- 19 vaccine and had the corresponding proof.

The specific facilities could refer to the following chart:
| 1. | Foreign nationals and their family members visiting the mainland of China for resuming work and production in various field need only to provide the documents required before the COVID-19 Pandemic when applying for a visa. |
| 2. | Foreign family members of Chinese citizens or permanent residents, including spouse, parents, children, and other close relatives living together (referring to brothers, sisters, grandparents, and grandchildren), may submit visa applications for the purposes of reuniting with family, taking care of the elderly, visiting relatives, attending funerals, or visiting critically ill relatives. |
| 3. | Holders of valid APEC business travel cards for the business type of visa can apply Chinese visa by presenting the original valid APEC business travel card and the invitation letter issued by the inviting party in the mainland of China. |
| 4. | Hold valid personal affair, work, and reunion resident permit would not be affect anymore. |
Eligible applicants are following:
| 1. | Applicant who received two doses of Chinese made COVID-19 vaccines with the stipulated gap in between and obtained the vaccination certificates |
| 2. | Applicant who received a single-dose Chinese made and produced vaccine at least 14 days prior to applicants and obtained the vaccination certificates |
The noticed also pointed out that the onboarding requirement for the airline such as the certificates of negative nucleic acid and anti-body blood tests remains unchanged. After arriving in China, the travellers should comply with the local quarantine regulations.
Although the Chinese-made vaccines is not widely available to foreign countries, the visa application may gradually become more convenient in the future.
